Happy 249th Independence Day from the Resilient Times!
From sea to sea, and even Washington, DC
We hope that this newsletter finds the reader somewhere close to some sunshine, a cold one, and a searing hot grill.
What better way to celebrate than introducing you to one of the most resilient and decorated guests of all time: John Wayne Walding. John served in the military for 12 years including 7 in the Special Forces, earning a Silver Star Medal, the Bronze Star Medal, and a Purple Heart. John lost his right leg to sniper fire in Afghanistan 2008, but that didn’t keep him from returning to service and becoming the first amputee to become a Green Beret sniper. He was also awarded a Combat Infantry Badge, an Airborne Tab, Air Assault Tab, and Special Forces Tab… And get this: John Wayne was BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY.
So Happy Birthday to the brave patriot John Wayne, and happy Fourth of July to every red-blooded American who is reading this right now. The full episode airs monday, but we had our video extraction specialist Joel crank out this preview in time for America’s big day.
Here at Resilient Times we love nothing more than the freedom afforded by the greatest country on earth, the U-S of A. And we have big plans between now and when Ol’ glory finally hits the big two-five-O next July 4.
Whether it’s reporting from the White House Briefing Room, on Capitol Hill, inside the Resilient Studio in Texas, or in the field somewhere across this blessed land, we want YOU to join the fight for our veterans, our citizens, and the glorious United States.
The mission moving forward is simple: book the most patriotic guests and the biggests names both within the veteran community and among those who love the Stars and Stripes.
Resilient Times has been hard at work establishing a foothold in our nation’s capital. We will be on the scene for President Trump’s signing of the Big Beautiful Bill this afternoon, and we can’t wait to share the footage of B-2 bombers flying over the President’s home in DC.
In other news, which you are hearing here first: we should have Chad sitting in the New Media seat of the White House Briefing Room SOON.
What would you ask Karoline Leavitt or Donald Trump if you were in Chad’s shoes (we might even have to squeeze him into some loafers but that might be a stretch)? Let us know in the comments and we will be sure to get it onto Robo’s desk before he heads to The Swamp. We don’t want to ask about the topics that all the hoity toity reporters care about; we want to pose questions that matter to REAL Americans like YOU!
We also have some investigative stories in the works and without giving too much away, we are focusing on where your tax dollars are going and why. Is the American taxpayer, by some bizarre bearacratic twist of fate, funding the Taliban? Does USAID give money to nonprofits that support radical Islamism within the United States? Stay tuned for the answers to these questions and much, much more.
In the meantime, we thank you for your patriotism and your patronage to the Resilient Show and to the Resilient Times. God Bless you and don’t forget to use proper safety if you’re planning on playing with fireworks on this July 4th!
And don’t forget to thank a veteran for the liberty that we are celebrating on this 249th anniversary of our United States!
THANK YOU FOR REACHING OUT TO ME! I APPRECIATE YOUR DEDICATION TO OUR COUNTRY,I 🫡 YOU FOR YOUR PATRIOTISM, AND GOD BLESS YOU FOR YOUR MISSION ❤️ 💪 🇺🇸 ⚖️ ☝️🏆'S PAMELA SCHNEIDER
Oh, questions for Trump? (Leavitt is not my favorite person. She cost us a congressional seat in 2022 to elevate her own profile)
Veteran’s Issue: “What can be done to help veterans obtain necessary certifications to keep using their skills, outside of the military?”
My boyfriend worked on helicopters in the military but he’s a maintenance guy in the civilian world… The level of wasted talent is unbelievable; and he’s not the only one in the same boat.
Civilian Issue: “What is the Republican solution to lowering healthcare costs and increasing accessibility to healthcare services?”
This is one I get from voters often, that no campaign in any of the states I’ve worked for, has an answer to; and if we don’t start giving an answer soon… talk of single payer will start to take on steam 😬
