The people we elect seem to feel that "working for the people" means moving as slowly as possible on any issue involving an income stream, a possible political pressure bloc, or confronting anyone who might give them a dirty look. I guess that "working" has more to do with posturing for the record than crafting legislation to protect, foster, profit, or otherwise advance the American people,unless, of course, the legalese disguises a siphonable gravy stream for the politician and his pet projects. They're quick as a weasel to get THAT done.
